The Garden Centre
Last month, our play theme was "The Garden Centre".
We read the story of "The Very Hungy Caterpillar" as part of this learning. In small groups, we practised sequencing the story using colourful pictures. We then used glue to stick each picture in the correct order to create storylines. We used the storylines to support us with retelling the story in our own words.
We engaged in some yoga related to the story too. This was a nice way to be active (and safe!) inside our classroom.
We revised pattern as part of our maths learning and created caterpillars for art. We chose 2/3 colours and focused on painting within the lines.
Overall, we integrated our English, history, P.E., maths and visual arts learning. We are really proud. Check out some photographs of us in action!
